One of the greatest blessings of being a parent is getting to talk with our kids about the things of God. Hearing them talk about God is another of those blessings!
In a recent conversation with Grandpa Zeikle, Caleb told Grandpa that he wasn't having a very good day.
"Why not?" asked Grandpa.
"Well, I didn't make very good choices."
"Sometimes grown-ups don't make good choices either. Caleb, why do you think that we don't make good choices?"
"Cause we're not like God."
Wow! We were so challenged by his confident answer, so full of truth.
Thank you, Lord, for giving Caleb a desire to know Your truth!
A couple of recent questions Caleb has asked me are:
"Do you think Jesus tells jokes?"
"Will we have scars in heaven?" (We were talking about Thomas wanting to see the scars in Jesus' hands.)
So, what do you think about Caleb's questions?

Yay - so many fun new posts and pics! I especially loved Caleb's insight - so right on. And I think that Jesus is way funnier than we get - I wish that the Gospel writers had included him telling a joke or two, cuz I bet he did. Something else to look forward to in heaven, I guess...!
Funny, my Caleb was just talking about wanting to hear God talk and he decided he couldn't hear him because he wasn't quiet and listening...good lesson for me! (Amy)
Hi Kirsten (or should I say Jim?)! Thanks for the comment...I finally checked your blog again and I was sad to see that you're even worse than I am, slacker! :) Hope you're doing well!
