So, we didn't really go all out for the shindig. I know, you only turn ONE once, but we didn't need it to be BIG to enjoy Luke's special day.
Here's our laid-back Jungle Party:
Breakfast: Monkey Bread (per our birthday tradition). Caleb helped make it this year and Luke kept an eye on it in the oven. :)
Party hats: What better way to annoy a 1-year-old at his own party?
Chocolate Cake: Yes, he's smiling in this picture, but I'm pretty sure that happened by accident. He was not a fan of the singing, candles, cake or 11 pairs of eyes all on him.
Presents: Tolerated; no excitement.
Best Moment of the Day: Luke took his first steps into Aunt Meghan's waiting arms! Perfect!
